God honors persecution for speaking the truth the same as he honors persecution for the sake of preaching the Gospel. As Jesus told Pilate, “I’ve come into the world for this: to give evidence about the truth.” (John 18:37). If we are persecuted for sharing the message of personal salvation, fighting for election integrity, or speaking the truth about abortion or sexuality, it is all for the sake of Christ who testifies to the truth.

Revival begins in the home. What songs, scriptures, history, or prayers will you teach your children, grandchildren, or neighborhood children today?

“A blind man was brought to Jesus, and they begged Him to touch him.” Mark 8:22

When we go before the Lord in prayer, do we “beg” Jesus to touch our sick or handicapped? These people didn’t wish Jesus would heal their blind friend, they expected it! They were so confident that Jesus could heal, they only spent their energy persuading Him so that He would heal. When we are captured by the present reality of Jesus’ rule and reign, our expectations are greatly elevated.

Don’t expect the worst. Expect Jesus to be sovereign over everything, even death.
