What is the Gospel story? Many people believe that the Gospel story is the story of Jesus coming to earth to show us the way to get to Heaven. A once popular worship chorus put it this way:

“You came from heaven to earth to show the way...from the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky...”

This is not the Gospel story. God didn’t create a good world only to make His main object to show people how to escape it!

The Apostle Paul sums up the end goal of the Gospel this way:

“For He (God) has made known to us his will, according to his purpose which he set forth in Christ as a plan...to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth.” Ephesians 1:9-10

The plan is to reconcile the creation with the creator. This is why the Gospel is good news for the whole person and the whole planet. All things can be reconciled to God.

Slavery. Something most people believe to have died a long time ago, but the sad truth is that it is still alive and well today.
As believers we carry the only hope - the Gospel is the only way to bring true freedom.

@sinbach Whitney Houston. Even her beautiful funeral made me cry (it was happier than a regular Finnish worship service). I watched on YouTube a friend of hers telling about a meeting with her shortly before her death, how she was longing to live for the Lord and how she was touched by the Holy Spirit. I have watched two documentaries about her. I think it can help us not to judge her... ok she made bad and sinful choices, but at the same time she had always a relationship with the Lord. She was a victim of child abuse, and one of her female relatives, who used to babysit her and her brothers, sexually abused her. Then she was seduced by her best friend and had a lesbian relationship with her for a while. Her brother introduced her to drugs in her teens. Bobby Brown was not the best husband, and they were doing drugs together. At the same time she was put on a pedestal, and there were high expectations on her. She felt that she was never good enough - even if she was adored. Etc.

The lack of support of Israel is disturbing. Have we forgotten our precious scriptures in that God has made a forever covenant with this nation? This nation is the apple of His eye! And those of use who are in Christ have been adopted and grafted into this family of Israel. So, if you are a Believer in Yeshua, then you are part of the nation of Israel. You have inherited the blessings of Abraham. And what of Palestine? The Palestinian people need to hear the gospel of Jesus and we should pray that they choose to receive this Truth. Once they do, then they are one with all Believers as they are also now grafted and adopted into the family of God and inherit the blessings of Israel. Also, let us not forget that Israel is RESPONDING to the ongoing attacks by its neighbors who have a deep and unending hatred for their nation and won't stop until all are dead. Israel is willing to live with their neighbors, but Palestine is not willing to live in peace with Israel. Peace to Jerusalem.
