@Toolman because this is a victory. Plain and simple. The fight is not over. The churches that filed this to the SCOTUS are churches that I have spoken at and I am happy to see them get this win. You might not be. This might not be enough for you and that is fine, but I am excited about striking a serious blow to the powers of gov overreach in California. And this victory can be attributed to President Trumps court appointees. Not just the Supreme court, Trump appointed roughly a quarter of all active federal judges in the country and more federal appeals court judges than any one term president. All of these judges were selected, as best as could be, to adhere to the original founder's ideas of freedom of religion. In my view, that was CLEARLY a Trumpian blessing.

but please, please, please, I would rather NOT hear one more sermon of "Jesus would do this out of love" from someone who thinks it is OK to kill babies and doesn't know which bathroom to use.

In the last year, I have heard so many people who do not go to church teach me what Jesus would do. It has been really nice.
Wear a mask. that is what Jesus would do.
Keep six feet apart. That is what Jesus would do.
Stay home, save lives, that is what Jesus would do.
Don't go to church, that is DEFINITELY what Jesus would do.
Do not visit the sick, sit with the lonely, or console those grieving the death of a loved one because that is after all what Jesus would do. That is how Christians show love.
Do you not remember the parable of Jesus telling the sick to stay six feet away?
YES! Indeed! Jesus showed true Christian love to the leper by telling them to be safe, stay away from the village, and die alone.
Who knew that all that was needed to show love to those with leprosy was a mask and stay 6 ft away?
But perhaps that is not a fair comparison of the love of Jesus, because leprosy was neither as deadly nor as contagious as Covid.

@speakthetruth @bethany @StevenBerry I believe that you are referring to Lev 19:28 perhaps? That is the verse right between telling us not to trim our hair on the sides or round off the corners of our beards and not to sell our daughters as prostitutes. The actual verse says not to cut our flesh for dead or print any marks upon you. I believe that this is in direct relation to Ba'al worship as was the practice of that time - because otherwise Jesus with his flesh wounds and Holocaust Jews with their number tattoos would have been a problem. Those that believe tats are bad based on this one verse should not def not get tattoos, but I would caution judging those that have them, for it is not the outward part of man that defiles him, but what is in his heart that determines the condition of his soul.
