my latest post (and first for a while)
all to do with Covid, fear and God's perspective
Covid and The Golden Ticket
Take your mind back, and you might remember seeing the first signs that Covid-19 could well be a real issue, heading our way, like a freight train running along the tracks towards the edge of a cliff!
Scroll on a couple of years, and it is still making the lives of tens of millions of people difficult, at best. It has taken many loved ones from their family, way ahead of time, and it has created an abundance of fear.
We’ve seen governments, the media – and especially social media – capitalising on the fear of covid, to spread more fear for their own ends: as one doctor recently asked, where are the international campaigns, outrage and outcry about the dangers of eating too much sugar, or drinking too much alcohol: covid is indeed terrible, but there are other serious health issues out there too, which seem to have been forgotten about.
@Kruselady amen
@KarlGessler thanks for your prayers. So very much Thankyou!!!!!!
I'm looking forward my voice strengthening enough so I can get back in front of a camera...maybe we can get more filming done again, a week on Monday (Monday is our usual filming day)...hopefully we'll be all sufficiently strong enough by then (well me - the rest of the family is already, basically, there)
@MaryMamuzich @Olamide it was so silly!
@Olamide I keep coming back and chuckling over this one
I was leading the worship at a famous preacher's healing event (they said he was famous - I'd never heard of him lol)
Anyway, we managed to get to the end of his talk and he asked for the worship team to come back up (just me - nobody else could make it lol)
He said he wanted to pray for me. Makes sense I thought
Now I was used to Pentecostal 'ways' so put my hands out as was normal for prayer in that situation
But he simply put his hands around my neck
My pastor ooked a tad surprised, but mouthed at me to 'go with it' with a slightly concerned face
And I nearly did - I nearly went with it, straight out the door, after nearly punching him for trying to strangle me!
I'm not a violent man, but put your hands round my neck and my peaceful demeanour will change!!
I look back and laugh at it now...it wasn't so funny at the time...
Some people really like to grandstand don't they!!
Just pray in authority - it worked for Jesus
@tanjaostman There were, and are, a lot of emotions kicking about!
@tanjaostman thank you
I'm not that good...it's a paraphrase from a post I'm writing...taking my time with this one as am now on the 4th draft of it - it's very much about covid. But its also, very much more, a gospel message too!
@tanjaostman wow. Well there's some quantifiable data!!
Nearly 100% vaccinated, and a spike like that? That's really shocking!! Not surprising, from other things I've read, but it is shocking, especially with the forced vaccine mandate and lockdown in Austria from today
The vaccine was never going to stop the spread. The best it could ever be expected to do is possibly limit the length of the suffering, or the severity of the symptoms for individuals...and it does that with decreasing ability as the virus mutates and the vaccine loses its efficiency
It really isn't the miracle drug we were sold it to be.....it never could be
@MaryMamuzich excellent
@MaryMamuzich interesting indeed
@MaryMamuzich like you said earlier, it's truly evil!
@MaryMamuzich they're already stressed...then caught covid
30 minute walk under my own power today. Then, when Jo came home, I drove out to our local supermarket - which I really enjoyed...I've been getting a dry cough of an evening, but the Aircon sorted that straight away.... would've been useful knowing that a week ago!
Still, I'm getting slowly better, Jo is back to work, and the boys are back on their home ed
None of us is 100%, but we're all better than yesterday...and that matters!
Meanwhile, loads of Jo's colleagues are also going down with covid, many quite hard.
Thanks for your ongoing prayers
Onwards!!

@sinbach happy birthday
@Olamide lol
A preacher said, "Anyone with 'special needs' who wants to be prayed over, please come forward to the front by the altar."
With that, Leroy got in line, and when it was his turn, the Preacher asked, "Leroy, what do you want me to pray about for you?" Leroy replied, "Preacher, I need you to pray for help with my hearing." The preacher put one finger of one hand in Leroy's ear, placed his other hand on top of Leroy's head, and then prayed and prayed and prayed for Leroy and the whole congregation joined in, with great enthusiasm.
After a few minutes, the preacher removed his hands, stood back and asked, "Leroy, how is your hearing now?"
Leroy answered, "I don't know. It ain't 'til next week."
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😛
@faith20 😞
@tanjaostman thanks Tanja
Nothing serious for me for research... just wondering what the numbers might be...
