@Jo_PrayerN_actionCenter This is one huge benefit in the farming methods you promote. There is nutrition in the food when it is grown well and the soil is maintained. People can prepare the foods in a way they enjoy or are accustomed to eating it. These things take time to learn, but are so beneficial. I enjoy learning about natural and efficient methods for farming and growing edible plants. However, I live in an urban setting, so although I plant some veggies, I'm not able to implement a lot of the farming methods. I do a bit of composting with earthworms to enrich the soil, by feeding food scraps to the worms rather than throwing it all away. It's so refreshing to see the creative ways people are using the resources available!

😭😭😭 May their voices be heard even more and the Truth triumph over the injustices. Thank you for sharing. It's hard to watch, but this needs to be known.

2 vans at home and ready to load.

it's freezing cold here today - we're about to have a cooked breakfast before loading the vans throughout today

tomorrow we drive to our new home - anything up to around a 6 hour journey, and unload them

on Saturday we return the vans and drive back to our new home - around a 11-12 hour day

our car engine started playing up yesterday, but Jo made it to her last day of work and back, and we made it to the van hire place this morning.

we need another 500 miles or so out of the car, as we have no money for repairs (we suspect the last two, original, fuel injectors) and will need to find a garage once we've arrived at the new house. even if we had the money, garages are booking many days into the future anyway

plenty to pray for, and into, over the next 72 hours or so!!

we're certain God hasn't brought us this far to fall at the final hurdle, so we're holding to hope and Jesus!!

"Head In the Clouds"
Here's a glorious cloud formation from a while ago. Lit up majestically by the sun, the texture of this cloud caught my eye when I looked out the window. I knew it would certainly pass within moments, so I hastily popped outside with my camera to photograph it.

@tanjaostman It's troubling that they are manipulating data. My prayer is that the facts will soon be known to the public and that those responsible for these injustices will be held accountable.

@marktross This is very sad, but is it not still possible for his eyes to be truly opened to the truth found in Jesus Christ?

My brother died this morning.

I could use some uplifting prayers if ya"ll see fit.

@sinbach Interesting! Telegram is a different type app, but I thought it was supposed to be secure and free speech as well. I was so surprised when I tapped on a link to a Telegram channel and got a message that I couldn't access it because it didn't follow the rules for the Telegram app from Google Play. I learned that to access that channel, I would need to download the version of the app directly from Telegram's web page. I didn't do this, so don't know exactly what that channel was about but....Telegram doesn't feel as much like a free speech app to me anymore! Now I'm wondering about other apps.

@KarlGessler "A Jesus of theory or story hour is a sentimental comfort. The real Jesus commands the wind and seas and is a force to be reckoned with." Amen!!

"Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God." (Mat. 22:29).

Here Jesus was correcting the sadukees who didn't believe in resurrection from the death.

I'm thinking, how much have we as church gone wrong in a similar way today? Do we have faith in the real Jesus (who is Son of God, yet a man) and who is powerful in everything concerning our lives? Do we understand (and truly believe/act on it!) that the same power that raised up Jesus from the grave, now dwells in us? Are these signs following us (Mark.16:17-18)?

Do we know what the Bible says and read it by ourselves? Or do we trust that our pastor knows the best so that we don't need to read or understand it ourselves? Do we lean on tradition more than on God's word?

We need them both: the Power (Gods Holy Spirit) and the scripture (the Bible), so that we won't go astray.

God help us! 🙏

“Who is this?” they said to each other. “Even the wind and the sea do what He says!” (Mark 4:41).

Do we know this Jesus? Does this storm-calming Jesus disappear when we close our Bibles?

At times, I think I expect much more from my wife than I do from Jesus. But my wife can’t command storms and seas....

We expect far too little from Jesus.

We need to reconcile our creeds with our attitudes, decisions, and general approach to life.

A Jesus of theory or story hour is a sentimental comfort. The real Jesus commands the wind and seas and is a force to be reckoned with.
