Om a separate note could y'all pray for us?

Our car had a strange noise yesterday on the way home - from church. A breakdown service have said the rear brakes need replacing as a caliper (the noise we heard coming back from church) had stuck causing the brake pads to wear down to metal, which also damaged the rear brake discs

So we've cancelled all sorts of things for the next two weeks - when we then hope to be able to afford to pay for repairs at pay day.

Until then things are already beyond tight.

This is Teresa's health update.

The head physician told us that, from the point of view of her appearance, he sees her better, and this is no small detail.

More tests will be carried out in the coming days to better assess the situation.

For now we just have to wait and pray.

🙏 Updates on the health of my wife's mother whose name is Teresa. 🙏

A few minutes ago we spoke to a doctor and he told us that the situation is very complex and Anna's mother is in danger of dying. Only a miracle from God can save her as the doctors told us they have never seen such a situation.

So many have died this month from covid here in China. Please pray for families who are suffering the loss during the 1st Chinese New Years in 3 years where family is free to visit one another without lockdowns and quarantined and restrictions.

Please consider praying for my wife Sharon (76) has upr jaw cancer surgery January 3. , then left cancerous kidney removed January 18. We are blessed with wonderful medical help and detection of cancer not known, then short time to removal surgery! God is blessing .. however your prayers are coveted.. it will be traumatic and the surgeons do there part but God is the healer! We both trust our savior Jesus & ask a His loving care!

Day 5 of not being allowed to leave our home. I think about 70% of Beijing is probably on lockdown. But I hear grocery stores are being emptied wherever people are actually allowed out of their homes.

Beijing has 1800 new cases today and that’s huge for here. The days ahead will be interesting.

They come to our home each day to do covid test while on this lockdown. It feels surreal.

Our son Alistair was discharged and came home last night… after EXACTLY 40 days. What a significant number throughout the Bible- symbolizing a time of testing and tribulation and finally triumph with new growth... what we believe God has been doing!

Please continue praying with us — he will have ongoing weekly surgical dilations to stretch out his esophagus until the surgery team sees that his esophagus stays at the right size.

We are thankful for you and your ongoing love and support. We have continued to trust in what Jesus desires and is doing - far more than we could ask or imagine!
