Hiya DingDash family, how's y'all today?

I'm off to hunt for some diesel soon, before Jo goes to work later this afternoon - our nearest garage ran out of diesel again before I could get there yesterday...

In recent days I have had a reader from Saudi Arabia reading my devotionals, which is rare and a total privilege to spiritually support them. I know that being a Christian in Saudi Arabia is dangerous; please join with me in praying for this individual brother/sister.

When a well runs out of water, it doesn’t necessarily mean that there is no water left – just that the water table may have dropped, so our well runs out of water. When we dig down a bit further, we find that water again, and our fill will be filled with water once more.

And in our relationship, and walk, as disciples of Jesus Christ, we can often feel as though God has moved away from us. [READ MORE]

@Cherishingsparrows2020 thanks so much...that's really encouraging...our soul aim is to encourage others through all we do!

@Cherishingsparrows2020 amen

So many broken, hurting people...yes we, too, are pressing on - doing what we believe God has called us to do, with all we are and have to offer, such as it is, for God to grow as He wills it - for His Kingdom 🙂

Jo and I had a similar conversation about the end times. Ultimately, of course, we've been near them since Jesus was here, so we carry on, carrying on for His Name to be praised, 'running the race marked before us'.

Thanks for your comments - they're very encouraging and uplifting!

"16% of petrol stations now have fuel" (rather than the 10% figure over last weekend). that's a direct quote from the UK Government (well the first part is - the bit in brackets is the rest of the equation)

or, 74% of petrol stations in the UK currently have insufficient, or no, fuel - like our local one, that is dry of fuel again

The UK is in an unusually difficult situation regarding fuel supplies. and [no] it won't get better overnight; [yes] it is affecting many people and [no] it won't simply go away just because it will [eventually] return to normal

And, unlike the BBC - who love inciting a panic - I do not believe that tanker drivers in military uniforms will cause widespread panic - actually I suspect they'll receive a round of applause wherever they turn up.

And I also like the truth - all of the truth, because I'm a big boy and can make my own mind up correctly when presented with the facts.

Now for the British thing, I'm off for a cup of tea to sort the world out

@tanjaostman Thanks kindly

God was good

My dad left when I was 4, but God put 3 different godly men who took me into their different families and loved me in different ways, so I lost a human dad and gained 3 godly ones (my dad was about, but he was far more interested in his new wife and her children, rather than his own sons)

My mother was an extreme narcissist...don't know what that word is in Finnish....that created some very specific challenges to me!

God is good. He gave me my Joanne...she is awesome and has spent nearly 30 years building me up, and encouraging me to believe in myself as a child of God, and trusting that I can do more than I think I can

@Kruselady

Dust was last week 😉

This week is mud 🙂

And that's British weather for you - about as reliable as a british summer 😂

@tanjaostman I keep seeing this same message from God into my heart...I really must believe in myself to do what I already know God is calling me to do

Lots of painful memories back along of people criticising my abilities as a child, and adult, that don't always stay in their rightful place - where they belong (in the past!!).

@DevotionalTreasures well worth a few moments of your time Dingdashers to read this great, deep, well rounded post
