Ooh, bible versions - almost as volatile a subject as Vax or no Vax lol

NLT new living translation - was written for people for whom English is not their first language. Scholars say it is a good translation; my wife is English, but loves it

I like the NIV 1984 version ( if you can find it) - later versions became politically correct over accuracy

Our boys like the CSV and I prefer the ESV, which is a more accurate translate, but slightly less easy to read naturally

Older translations have their issues, and their use of words that aren't commonly used anymore

My two cents, anyway, on a topic I've thought about it a bit

For all who need it! It might not always be a physical abandonment, but parents not capable of loving and nurturing their children properly.

Goodyear Tyres had their base in Wolverhampton, England - a home town I've not visited for not nearly long enough. Dunno where they're based after they were bought out

A little bit of tyre trivia for you 🙂

You can also thank Wolverhampton for the traffic light too - sorry about that one

Great motto though -
"Out of darkness cometh light"

God’s people are meant to go on the offense. We are not meant to fight from a defensive position.

Every situation is an opportunity to be salt and light.

No bad news will ever drowned out the good news of the Gospel.

The war is already won.
Be of good cheer.

@Olamide I saw this a while back and was amazed at what he said. It's stunningly deluded and ridiculous.

And somewhat pleased at the shocked looks from the people around him as he spoke such rubbish...their reactions gave me a small amount of hope!

We try to open our windows once a day. Even when it is less than warm. Just for 20 minutes, or so.

I'm sitting here, while we're freshening up the house - with the windows open -wondering if I should search for "symptoms of hypothermia"....perhaps we should close them again soon lol

Maybe 20 minutes is optimistic today 😜 😂

Nice to have some fresh air though!

@Olamide I don't see the words "he is awesome" anywhere in that?!?

May the words of my mouth and meditation on my heart be acceptible to my Redeemer and King!

@MaryMamuzich our British NHS (National Health Service) says you should feel fully recovered within 12 weeks - not that it 'will' take that long, just that you should feel fully week within that time frame

@MaryMamuzich well they wanted to wait 6 weeks to ensure the infection had gone from my lungs, so I have to assume it'll take a few weeks before I feel better from that
