@bethany @sinbach fair enough. Probably wouldn't help my heart rate! πŸ˜‚

I was only gonna go and lay on hands.... 🀣 🀣 🀣 πŸ˜†

@sinbach Wanna see even more scorn and hatred? Work with children in an organised church setting and try engaging them with Jesus instead of just babystting them and just playing games with them

Wow! Just wow!!! You'd think we were trying to start a satanic temple in the church hall!!

The levels of hatred from that are even worse than having the 'wrong songs' in your set when leading worship πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜…

@sinbach Thankyou. Gonna try a celebration evening again once we've moved up to the north east in January (a little closer to Bethany)

Saved since May 2020 for a replacement engagement ring for Jo. Finally sorted that this week πŸ™‚ it's rare to find my wife quite that overwhelmed!

Funny how those prophets missed the mark so wildly... apparently saying "God said" doesn't make things happen lol

@sinbach 4th needed booster already announced in the UK - the one that is stated to be designed to fight omicron

To be fair, after the 2nd vaccine was announced, the 4th was already mentioned as necessary, so just confirming what they'd already, previously, mentioned

@sinbach UK attitude tangibly shifting

People who have complied fully, including multiple jabs, are saying no to the booster in increasing numbers

Flicking through the comments on Facebook posts by Boris Johnson, and the mood has very definitively changed

The support is still there, but the opposition is very definitively rising...slowly, but it takes a lot to rile the British...but when sufficiently roused en mass???

@Cherishingsparrows2020 @tanjaostman when the first death occurred in the UK after Omicron, the BBC was almost celebrating the death, such was the headline and time of the 'news report'

BBC disgusts me - I only use them to check for breaking news....

It horrifies me to admit this, but The Sun newspaper website has become my new go to for UK stories

The Sun paper in the UK was synonymous with their Page 3 nudity, although a national campaign finally put a stop to that...

If you're wanting to know about covid rules or the benefit system, the sun does, in fairness to them, break thain points down in simple bullet points, without lots of opinion and commentary!

@sinbach my wife was accused of being the devil when we got engaged to be married - I have a feeling the two of you would get on!

Anyway it was stated the pregnancy we were hiding with a wedding would ruin our marriage

It was stated we'd be divorced in a year

It was stated our marriage would be prevented

It was stated our marriage would rip apart my family

But the baby took 8 years to be born...

The family was ripped apart, but not by us

And did I mention that each and every comment above was spoken by church leaders at a holy spirit filled church, more than 25 years ago - we celebrated our 25th anniversary in style, by staying in bed due to Covid

Keep on keeping on my brother

Merry Christmas, People!
Romans 14:5 (ESV) 5 One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.

@tanjaostman I'm not making stuff up then. So hard finding information in S Africa!! (Other than MSM)

Inbox me if you are offended at the idea of idea of Christmas β˜ƒοΈπŸŽ„
Let us pray and get this nastiness off you!!!

@Olamide this is what you do on a rest day? Lovin it

But now I can't stop thinking of you dressed as an elf!!

@MaryMamuzich did it taste ok? When mine come out like that, we still ate them πŸ™‚

@MaryMamuzich it can happen...I've had it sometimes

Did you open the door while cooking? That's the only thing I can think of that 'could' do that

thestar.com/news/world/africa/

something a little encouraging, that I daren't share on Facebook! sadly, for numerous reasons!! it' breaks my heart how we've seen the vaccine as a polarising issue in civil society 😞

anyway, this is positive to read from South Africa! it's 4 days old, but finding anything that isn't ridiculously biased is bordering on the impossible

@tanjaostman

@MaryMamuzich too true... you're absolutely right!!

making myself just sit there and not help us really hard!!!!!!

I did load the dishwasher tonight for yh first time since October - that one was a confidence issue for me!

Anyway, broken that one, and loaded the washing machine (slowly!), and organised for the recycling to go out

@davereimer the meds always mess us up though, don't they

one way or another

since i've come off caffeine, i found myself quite awake the other night from a small bar of chocolate.................definitely felt like a caffeine boost while I was lying there!

who knew πŸ˜ƒ

@davereimer the blood thinners has a super slick coating on it. combined with some moisture on my fingers from my glass and it's wonderfully slippery for swallowing

I'd been sleeping heavily literally less than 5 minutes earlier...that didn't help

i was convinced i dropped my miniscule beta blocker, because i've made a point of always the bigger (blood thinner tablet) first

my wife's former police training came in. she really did go full on Police Constable mode

the pharmacist at the ward truly was lovely. i was crying by the end. didn't make me feel stupid.

the thing that upset me, though, is that today was a really lovely day for us, so i was looking forward to my first proper 30 minute brisk walk...

nevermind. i'm ok.

and judging from my heart rate right now my wife was absolutely right - i dropped my blood thinner tablet and took my beta blocker, 'cos she's beating slow and steady and calmly

lesson learned
