Please join us in praying for Ethiopia. The Tigray People’s Liberation Front have recently taken the ancient city of Lalibela.

The churches of Lalibela date back to the 12th century and are carved out in the mountains. The rock churches are a monument to the strength and endurance of the faith. Now, this ancient city and the nation of Ethiopia needs our prayers.

Met up with number one son, on my otherwise solo cycle.

Grass was really tall, & tough to plow through with multiple, long, deep (feet submerged while pedalling deep!) puddles that were unavoidable, but fun to do anyway :-) low gear and keep those pedals turning!!

A very muddy bike when I got home, and I wasn't much cleaner. Great time though, and having a break with my oldest - in the middle of nowhere - made it all the sweeter as we shared energy tablets and had a moment to chat together

With a newly replaced rear wheel, derailleur, gear cable & outer, my 2nd hand bike is finally working as it should....funny what we put up with - in my case for 6 years, with bad gear changes and no confidence the gears will stay where they should!

Still, all sorted now - onwards.

New derailleur, and now a replacement gear cable and outer....and a new rear wheel (last wheel died just after fitting the new derailleur).....my MTB finally has working gears......first time since I bought it 6-7 years ago...looking forward to, God willing, gettng out in the morning with Jo, and quite possibly getting a little muddy πŸ™‚

it's one of those days today! one load of washing went out on the line (blue skies, very hot, lovely breeze). Nathan brought it on and was utterly soaked before he'd done so

put the washing back out on the line (rather than carry on with the tumble dryer - since the washing was nearly dry) and Nathan just got soaked bringing it back in again

it's back in the tumble dryer, but not it's wetter than before it came out of the tumble dryer

who said British weather was boring?!?

@TakeN awesome...we live in the same house and yet I don't see half of what your eyes show you!

@jezzadiah4messiah I agree with lots of what you've said

But I don't, personally, think it'll be adults or youth that we're likely to see a great revival through

Cos I believe it'll be the most forgotten about group; 'the least of these'

I believe a great revival will start through our children

My heart and passion is ministering to children, so I'm biased in that way πŸ™‚

But that's my take on the future...such as it is, since none of us can know the future ;-)

Thanks for this brilliant post and thoughts that you've shared - this is what I love about DingDash! Can't imagine that chat in Facebook or Instagram!!

O Father, I pray that my faith will be authentic when my time of trial comes.
Thank you for the heroes of faith who kept doing what the Spirit led them to do, regardless of opposition.
Give our present-day missionaries the wisdom to know when to move to a new place and when to settle in and endure opposition.
Most of all, Lord Jesus, pour out your Spirit with power so that all of us will share the message of Jesus with wisdom, courage, and passion. In your name, O Lord, I pray. Amen.
