Steven reminds us to keep training for Godliness, keep growing in our relationships with God, and keep growing in our faith.

Nathan encourages us to grow up as Christians in Jesus.

@sinbach ooh...interesting!
@bethany @sinbach there's a quote in the next post along from the one I posted by a "fr" (a friar or father?..am not sure..) stated, in the telegraph, that men had given up applying to become priests due to too many female priests...don't know about his reasoning, 'cos it's a just a quote in the middle of the article, but that one struck something in me, but I'm not quite sure what....
This topic has increasingly got my heart and brain focused on something...but I'm not quite sure what that is, just yet...
@bethany @sinbach yep...some of those quotes are really upsetting
Especially that 2/3 of british Christians don't attend a church... We're currently part of that 2/3 while we continue to get past, well, lets just call them 'troubles
My passion has historically been to reach the lost in church...maybe I need to start thinking about the 2/3...especially since we're part of those numbers

In light of your podcast with @bethany when I stumbled on this I thought of you
This is pretty distressing reading and very blunt - "Men will be absent from church by 2028 at the current rate" and the departure of men is, according to statistics anyway, "speeding up"
It states Mentioned that men are increasingly not applying to be priests/vicars/ministers etc
Church attendance in the UK has dropped by 50% since 1950, and "has become a place by women for women"
Also, that two thirds of the UK Christian populations do not attend a church.........
Those few quotes made me re-read them several times!
@KarlGessler Looking forward to checking this out!
I read this excellent short devotional today:
“Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” 1 Peter 5:6-7
Be full of confidence not in yourself or what you can do, but in the Lord and what He can do. Your life, once given to Him, is in His hands, not yours. Live in His strength, not yours. Depend on His resources, not your own.
“Do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.” Hebrews 10:35.
How do you cast your care on Him?
Get out your “fishing pole of faith.”
Tie a hook to the line of your fishing pole.
Take all your cares and put them on a hook.
Cast the line as far as you can into the sea of God’s faithfulness.
Cut the line and leave them out there.
Take “I can’t” out of your vocabulary, and replace it with “God can!”

Marriage Matters, Season 1, Episode 1, Longevity and the 'D' Word
Andy and Jo kick off this brand-new series of Marriage Matters, looking at how we keep going and they go there – they talk openly about the D word – Divorce!
No way, I hear you cry - and the unmentionable on the first episode as well!
How can Andy and Jo talk about a lasting marriage, and Divorce, in the same episode, in the same sentence – this all sounds like Marriage Madness, not Marriage Matters. Or is it?
Join Andy and Jo to see what we can do to go the distance – ‘til death do us part’. Tune in to see for yourself what Andy and Jo do with the D Word.
What would you do?
How do you keep going?
What’s your plan?
Do you have a Plan B, if so, does it detract from Plan A?

@bethany Hi from the very south...
Hallelujah! We are safe!
Thank you for your prayers.
One of our disciple mentoring location has poisonous snakes.
We cannot risk putting too many lights at night, which will atract the attention of enemies of the Gospel.
So far 2 poisonous snakes 'suffered heavy damage to their bodies '.😷🙄🤔😁😁😁😁
It is possible that some of our disciples let the stick they carry around, fall on the snakes.🙈🙈🙈😁
(Who wants to pay hefty fines or risk going to jail for protecting themselves against harmful creatures)🙏
Please continue to pray for the safety of team members as they crisscross the Nation carrying tools and resources.
