We try to open our windows once a day. Even when it is less than warm. Just for 20 minutes, or so.
I'm sitting here, while we're freshening up the house - with the windows open -wondering if I should search for "symptoms of hypothermia"....perhaps we should close them again soon lol
Maybe 20 minutes is optimistic today 😜 😂
Nice to have some fresh air though!
Woke up from a deep sleep at 1215, very confused, cos I could hear Jo's coughs in the distance
Checked several clocks all showing the same time, bit it was light outside
Very confused!! I couldn't recall her kiss me goodbye, like she always does
Turns out Jo didn't go to work, as the job she had to do today was cancelled
And I'd slept solidly til after lunchtime
Maybe I overdid it with that walk yesterday!!
Anyway...time for a rest, and let myself wake up!!
It really is the afternoon!!!!!
my latest post (and first for a while)
all to do with Covid, fear and God's perspective
Covid and The Golden Ticket
Take your mind back, and you might remember seeing the first signs that Covid-19 could well be a real issue, heading our way, like a freight train running along the tracks towards the edge of a cliff!
Scroll on a couple of years, and it is still making the lives of tens of millions of people difficult, at best. It has taken many loved ones from their family, way ahead of time, and it has created an abundance of fear.
We’ve seen governments, the media – and especially social media – capitalising on the fear of covid, to spread more fear for their own ends: as one doctor recently asked, where are the international campaigns, outrage and outcry about the dangers of eating too much sugar, or drinking too much alcohol: covid is indeed terrible, but there are other serious health issues out there too, which seem to have been forgotten about.
30 minute walk under my own power today. Then, when Jo came home, I drove out to our local supermarket - which I really enjoyed...I've been getting a dry cough of an evening, but the Aircon sorted that straight away.... would've been useful knowing that a week ago!
Still, I'm getting slowly better, Jo is back to work, and the boys are back on their home ed
None of us is 100%, but we're all better than yesterday...and that matters!
Meanwhile, loads of Jo's colleagues are also going down with covid, many quite hard.
Thanks for your ongoing prayers
Onwards!!

A preacher said, "Anyone with 'special needs' who wants to be prayed over, please come forward to the front by the altar."
With that, Leroy got in line, and when it was his turn, the Preacher asked, "Leroy, what do you want me to pray about for you?" Leroy replied, "Preacher, I need you to pray for help with my hearing." The preacher put one finger of one hand in Leroy's ear, placed his other hand on top of Leroy's head, and then prayed and prayed and prayed for Leroy and the whole congregation joined in, with great enthusiasm.
After a few minutes, the preacher removed his hands, stood back and asked, "Leroy, how is your hearing now?"
Leroy answered, "I don't know. It ain't 'til next week."
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😛
Thanks my family for your prayers
I've just been out for a beautiful fall walk. 30 minutes, and pretty slow. But that's my first proper exercise in nearly 3 weeks! My legs are feeling it...but I feel great for getting out under my own power.
I've missed most of the really beautiful days and foliage. But saw some beauty in the nature near our home none the less
The leaves are on our driveway
The green path is actually a steep slope...it made me feel hopeful - tomorrow I will try a proper walk into the fields, and get some more exciting photos
Exciting to me, though, cos it represents the ability to breathe and walk 🙂
Do we seek closeness with our Father God?

I'm outside the house 🙂
Walking to the local shop with @StevenBerry for a card and some dinner
It's an exciting moment for Me after two weeks never leaving the house...going to A&E doesn't count

for the first time in two weeks, I actually feel like I am a bit better than I was yesterday
plenty of things going on in our family life, but we have (thanks for the praying), perhaps, made some progress generating something of a short term fix for our website (very technical and I had to get @TakeN wo work through it with me 'cos my brain just couldn't understand it all)
thanks to my beautiful DingDash family - you've been such a strength and support over the past 2 weeks of Covid. we've been humbled by multiple message of love, prayer and support
I've got 1 antibiotic pill left to to take today
Jo is back at work today, which - for her - means working from home until this evening. she still has a mild, dry cough, and is a little slow and weak
boys are back at their home ed, and Peter is doing a sterling job getting on top of some of the housework that has built up - he's loving helping his family out this way
i'm still in bed, but getting there

some updates on our website and material creation of late!
we haven't disappeared. we are still here - but our website is having some bigger issues (with our hosting company)
so if it goes offline again, it will be quite possibly, semi-permanent - we have a solution, which we'll put in place in the next 36-48 hours and that will resolve things in the next week or two (hopefully much quicker!)
with recovery from Covid, and some other stuff, we're not working at our optimum right now
on top of prayers for Covid (we're mostly past that now, just getting our strength back), could you pray for the website stuff - it is stretching my brainpower, quite a bit, and has caused us quite a bit of stress when we could do without that
Father, in the name of Jesus, I am at the brink of my Red Sea, but I thank You for the miracles that come as I face impossible situations.
I thank You for Your saving grace, Your strong right hand, and Your outstretched arm.
No one has an arm like Yours! Even as You brought the children of Israel through the Red Sea, I know You are doing the same for me.
I depend upon You to see me through. There is absolutely nothing impossible for You, Jesus.
I take courage and comfort knowing that You are my strength when I am weak.
My trust is in You, God. I take You at Your word, for Your word will not return void unto You.
