Thank you for getting involved in this #Arrowroot discussion. Last week I encouraged a family to consume tubers from Variegated Arrowroot plant, afterwards I felt guilty as I didn't do any study, before recommending it to others.

However I am shocked to know that these cana tubers are edible!!! We grew them as ornamental plants in childhood. Still it is grown as an ornamental plant in many parts of my motherland.
Did she really say that the leaves are edible?
However I don't think the Arrowroot leaves are edible.
Still wondering, whether we can use them as wrap for steaming Rice cake, etc ? Just like we use banana leaves as wrap for making steamed rice delicacies?

@paga4 @daniel This one looks like a vine. I have seen this spreading like wildfire in Rubber and Coffee plantations. This one must be invasive. Some varieties are quite harmful as well, if domestic animals consume the beans, it will affect their nervous system.
