One more thought...
IF Americans get another stimulus check, I pray we will be wise and use it for getting it of the chokehold of debt and for planning and preparing. We personally are not prepared for this either. We have prepared in times past and ended up having to throw a lot of things away that went bad. I'm not talking about preparing for years I'm talking about having a little extra that would go for 2 weeks or a month

Yes we all could stand to decrease! At least in the west for sure. But even those who live in excess are not prepared for a diabolical famine that is being planned to erase human lives. May we be obedient to the voice of the Lord and plan and prepare as he shows.

I think you have that exactly right. The trying too hard I mean. I think the problem is the expectations are so high in our own hearts and we have a hard time letting God be God to them. I wish I would have seen it that way then

I laugh as I remember when they were smaller and toddlers and it was so difficult keeping up with them, I felt like that time period was tough. They are all less than 2 years apart. That same long time span has been experienced as each of them have been in their teen years. It makes you feel like you've been sucker punched back and forth from one side to another for a time period that seems to drag on and on. 🤪

So true. It's not difficult when I'm not around them... As would be expected. And I do really well praying and standing in their absence. But the interactions especially with the youngest one are so hurtful because he lies and manipulates to constantly take the easy path and get his own way. Serious character issues. You know, regarding my prayer request last night concerning my children...
His grace is surely sufficient. And honestly, it's not that they are actually attacking me in word or deed. With the youngest being 17, and at one time, my most tender towards the things of God... It's so very painful to watch him run from God, participating in things that have serious consequences in this life and the life to come. I know and declare God is faithful! I worship him in the midst! I am weak, he's strong 💪💜

Self is our problem. And unless we resign our self nature to Jesus, we are hopeless.

The world feed here on DD is suddenly all news feeds, and labeled as 'bots', which is burying our human DD posts. Can this be stopped?

I am a mom of 5 children, ages 17-24. Happily married 26 years and believe me, I wouldn't trade any of it. I'm usually the last one to ask for personal prayer. I'm optimistic in personality and generally positive. But I'm asking for prayer tonight as I go to bed. My heart is so grieved over parenting. When they are young they step on your toes, when they are old they step on your heart. To be honest, I'm so tired of it. Pray I stay hidden in Christ, and not react out of my flesh. THANK YOU
