Update on "Andrew"
In the middle of the day his father sent us a message saying Andrew had used a friend’s phone to send the internal phone number of the deportation center, where we could call him.  
 
After multiple tries, and testing out different ​languages with whomever it was that answered, at last we got him on the phone! The relief of that initial phone call was tremendous for everyone.   
 
As chance would have it, we had a guest in our house that night who spoke Dari and was able to help us translate the call. It was a good thing too because Andrew was very chatty, with so much to process. We talked for 20 mins and mostly it was him talking nonstop, trying to get out as much information as possible.  

We informed him about the lawyer process, assuring that he would not be deported, and that we were working our hardest to get him out.  
Please continue to pray for Andrew.

@moamfj I’m glad you made it through all of that. I also tried to kill myself and ended up with a bad head fracture. Thankfully God gave me my life back. I’m trying to stay close to Him now.

I honestly don't know if it's a good or bad idea to join NATO when you have a long border to Russia. It's very provocative from the Russian point of view. The biggest problem for Finland is and has always been Russia - that's sad, because it's a well functioning, western, democratic country that's been set as an example and ranked the best country in the world in several rankings. I don't blame ordinary Russians, but the Russian power, that has ruled, threatened and killed my forefathers throughout history. That made my parents' generation fatherless - by physical or emotional death. We haven't totally recovered yet.

*Andrew (name changed for security) is an Afghan teenage believer from the Pashtun tribe with a death threat on his life to join the Taliban. During the US evacuation last summer he was separated from his family and fled Afghanistan which landed him up in Istanbul Turkey illegally where he was rescued by our own A n B couple.took Andrew into their home and have been working on getting him the documentation he needs to reunite with his family and go to the US for school. Last week while A n B were out in eastern Turkey, the police located Andrew in Istanbul, took him into custody and moved him to another eastern city in what appears to be a deportation effort. Andrew is currently in a city near the Iran border
Would you urgently join us in praying (and mobilizing prayer) that the Lord would intervene and rescue Andrew from being deported or abducted and returned back to A n B's home. Let’s pray that the plans the Lord has for Andrew’s life would be fulfilled!
