@Knittinggrace @Rinati right...my limited experience has only been with a few nominal Catholics, one on one, here and there. They seem to simply buy into the traditions without much thought, and accept they were 'born that way'. They simply dismiss me.

@Knittinggrace @Rinati @sinbach @MaryMamuzich if by genuine you mean honest and believe Christ is The Savior, I suppose there could be but I don't know any personally. I think it is dangerous to claim or follow any so-called church that is really a cult.

My daughter, Emily, isn't feeling well, and has dialysis tomorrow, she has been waiting 9 years for a second kidney transplant. Several complications. She does need prayer!

@Knittinggrace i agree..yes, him...i meamn the problem of persecution and oppression like @Rinati said

@StevenBerry @sinbach rofl. The Twinkie costume is to get past customs in China at the airport. The cap and glasses are for us. @bethany

@sinbach @Knittinggrace @MaryMamuzich I read all of you guys' exchanges on that somewhat heated topic, I think. Would you all agree that it's not your average Catholic that is the problem, but rather their leaders? Reminds me of brother Yun talking about the TSPM Church in Heavenly Man: the leaders! 2. What do you think about A. Rivera? I think I already know what @Rinati thinks and love her for being willing to say it.

@Matthias There seems to be many good gospel musicians on here. Thanks for posting

Australia has treated refugees who arrived by boat here very badly.

Despite the many verses in scripture that teach us to look after the stranger in the land, many church people do not follow the teachings and despise these humans, some of whom fled their middle eastern countries because of their christian faith.

One of our missionary families was just robbed. Their entire annual support was taken. All of their money for the rest of the year is gone. Please keep them in your prayers.

@erdenpilger 1 corinthians 12:28 does not say gifts have ceased. It says in the church their are apostles and prophets. If you're going to say certain Scriptures don't apply today, which is a very dangerous doctrine, which is not found in Scripture, you need to prove it. You can't just wave your hands and say, "that time has passed". By the way, 1 Cor. 13 is not that proof but our proof, which you mis-referenced as 1 Cor. 12:28

@erdenpilger, How do you explain, or explain away, 1 Corinthians 12:28?

I'm not afraid of any virus, especially one that looks like it came out of a Dr. Seuss book

@sinbach @Berrybunchfamily See, that is why I'm glad I did not get a Ph. D. or become a doctor. I'd just be shut down like him. I bet even ultraconservative schools like Harding in Searcy have been infiltrated. Education has been a big joke in this country for decades. @Rinati
