@sinbach @Knittinggrace @MaryMamuzich I read all of you guys' exchanges on that somewhat heated topic, I think. Would you all agree that it's not your average Catholic that is the problem, but rather their leaders? Reminds me of brother Yun talking about the TSPM Church in Heavenly Man: the leaders! 2. What do you think about A. Rivera? I think I already know what @Rinati thinks and love her for being willing to say it.

Australia has treated refugees who arrived by boat here very badly.

Despite the many verses in scripture that teach us to look after the stranger in the land, many church people do not follow the teachings and despise these humans, some of whom fled their middle eastern countries because of their christian faith.

One of our missionary families was just robbed. Their entire annual support was taken. All of their money for the rest of the year is gone. Please keep them in your prayers.

@erdenpilger, How do you explain, or explain away, 1 Corinthians 12:28?

I'm not afraid of any virus, especially one that looks like it came out of a Dr. Seuss book

@sinbach @Berrybunchfamily See, that is why I'm glad I did not get a Ph. D. or become a doctor. I'd just be shut down like him. I bet even ultraconservative schools like Harding in Searcy have been infiltrated. Education has been a big joke in this country for decades. @Rinati

Must see! There is a documentary on Netflix called “The Social Dilemma” that We believe should be required viewing for everyone who values truth. Great reason for DingDash! Former employees of big media share the truth about disinformation!

After looking at thejesusgathering.org it appears they may have not owned a building or ever been incorporated and that is a good thing. I hope its true.

So.. the texas house church podcast, which i listened to, sounded like an institutional church that decided to break up into small groups after the covid crackdown, and will ultimately maintain their building, staff and traditions.

yes, @raymondthebrave 's account appears to be deleted.

@Knittinggrace Did you see any of John MacArthur's Strange Fire Conference a few years ago where he got believers like Joni Eareckson Tada to mock God and people who believe in miracles and the gifts of the Spirit? She was a keynote speaker. It was disgusting, and no one called Joni out for it they you could find on the web. Joni said something like.. when pentecostal people run to me wanting to pray, i say oh sure and please pray for my cat, dog and the cobwebs in my house too. Todd Friel also

Fav of the week:

"Pharaoh Newsom! Let my people go... to church!" MacArthur, who had inexplicably grown a full, flowing beard, bellowed. "If you do not let my people go to church, I will release more plagues on the land. Darkness, fires, and earthquakes were just the beginning!" MacArthur, of course, clarified that any plagues he called down would simply be providential and not miraculous in any way."
