Jo and I played tennis in the kitchen last night. I didn't know how skilled we were.

We skillfully, fluently, gently and flawlessly batted the freshly baked naan bread, repeatedly between us....straight into the bin...............using nothing more than a baking tray and a plate.

Ok. It wasn't planned or scripted. And the naan bread did look tasty......still, once the tears had stopped flowing, and we'd stopped laughing. We enjoyed the curry we'd made....which we didn't help serve up

@Asianking Praise God

My prayer was that this would all be to His glory and help build His Kingdom.

So pleased 🙂

And thanks @Asianking for the update. That's really lifted me this morning, to read this!!

Please join us in praying for this missionary family in Brazil. Phil, the father has Covid and is doing poorly. The medivac team assessed him last evening and determined he was too sick to survive the trip. He’s in critical condition.

This dad is a close friend of several of our friends. Join us in praying for a miracle.

My cousin, just a few years older than I am (I’m 55) went into the hospital 2 weeks ago. She was put on life support shortly afterwards. She just passed away at 2 AM this morning. Drs don’t know the cause of death. They didn’t know what was making her sick. Please pray for her family.

@sinbach in answer to your closing question I think it most certainly should - this is where our berrybunch.family website was born; adpatation to a changing situation!

but since most churches got stuck in a loop of 'but we always used to meet THIS way so we'll wait until we can do what we have always done' i fear not many lessons will be learned...

there will be those that will adapt - indeed there were some great initiatives from churches in the UK, who simply looked at their local needs, met them, and grew - both financially and in numbers, while not meeting physically as they always did. they seized the moment!

but they were the ones we heard little about, and infrequently.

i want to hope that churches are silently doing what is needed....i fear the silence is due to a lack of 'doing' rather than being careful about sharing

Darkness makes its presence known by shouting. But the light shines all the brighter, no matter the volume 🙂

So, what's the last prayer God answered for you, in your life, or the life of your family? Let's encourage one another - post a comment for all DingDashers.

For the BerryBunch - God, unequivocally, provided the home we needed, when we couldn't find one! Such peace, when fear was all around us!

@Joshua_D_Jones

love this (mostly because I DON'T love this!) 🙂

spiritual self-examination can be revealing, long before it can be releasing

@bethany [we LOVE Yorkshire]

Not exactly Devon (where Jo grew up).

But AMAZING, with great people

@bethany @sinbach we've got an open invite to York, with some amazing and godly friends! The kind of friends where you stay two weeks and they are still happy to have you back 🙂

Once Covid lock down is relaxed, we'll be back up, and we'd love to come to the UK office !!!

I also know Rotherham relatively well. I used to deliver building materials to new housing estates, albeit over 20 years ago now. Rotherham was a near daily run for me back then.
