Traveling by a Taxi, which is more like a vintage truck! Through roads resembling my childhood days.
Unheard millions are still unheard....so leaving behind the comforts of city and going to rural districts.
4 of us are traveling this week.

Andy B 2 Minute Video, Sunflowers And Reaching For The Sky, S4, E32

Sunflowers always make me smile. They always do! There is something truly happy about a sunflower.

And much like sunflowers, we need to try and track the sun. In our case, the Son of God. Little but of wordplay, but you get the idea.

Because we can sometimes feel like God has gone cold either on us, or at us. Either way, we’re wrong – if you’re feeling like you’ve lost the warmth of God’s face on yours, make like a sunflower, and track His face to feel His warmth once more.

Just a thought…

"Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god." -Psalm 24:3-4 🧗🏔️✝️👫🙏💖🚫🗿🕌

I haven't heard this song for so long. I was so struck by the truth of the words again when we sang it at church this morning.

What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear
And what a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer
Oh, what peace we often forfeit
Oh, what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer.

Marriage Matters, S1, E5, In Sickness And In Health

youtu.be/Nw5uPzmTbwQ

Introduction

Andy B and Jo talk candidly about their own experiences of sickness in their marriage from Andy’s hospitalisation on their honeymoon, various ailments, and illnesses, through the years and, more recently, Covid affecting the whole family.

Looking again at marriage vows which call us to commit to each other through the good times and the bad, Andy and Jo focus on health-related issues in marriage.

As always, Andy B gives us direction in this area of marriage through the scriptures, beginning with a favourite at weddings: 1 Corinthians 13:1-7 – all about love - ties in nicely with Valentine’s Day! And Andy B reminds us of how there is no greater love than when someone lays down their life – like Jesus did for us – Romans 5:7

How's everyone after the wind yesterday?

Very cold here, so had to light the fire at 9am when I went to fetch Jo her morning coffee ...14 degrees is a tad cooler than normal! Heating is fine, just VERY cold downstairs today and the heating doesn't do much for the wonderfully large space that is our lounge and dining room (so glad the double sided log burner works so very well!!).

Thankfully the studio is warm enough 'cos today is our whole family filming day for Endurance, with a new addition (that'll be out next Sunday), Marriage Matters (latest episode is already scheduled for 4pm today - In Sickness and In Health), 60 Second Catch-up, an Andy B video or two, new audio for some adverts, and more filming for other new adverts. Plus planning for next week's episodes, some prayer, and working on the monthly BerryBunch newsletter.

Oh yes...after our cooked breakfast in a wrap to get us going!!

Andy B 2 Minute Video, Snakes and Ladders, and God’s Goodness

youtu.be/QC27yzm5axs

If you have ever played Snakes and Ladders it is a super simple game. Shake your dice, move the number of spaces you’re told to move and the basic goal is to never land on a snake!

Ladders help you jump up the game, to get nearer to the end (first one to the end wins!). But, land on a snake, and it takes you back the way you’ve just come.

But, I wonder if we sometimes thank that God is sitting there just wishing and hoping for us to land on a snake.

But, that simply isn’t God’s nature.

Actually, neither is helping us get to all the ladders. Because, if we rush through life, never having to face problems two things will happen. One is that we’ll get bored real quick. The second is that when we miss a ladder, we’ll have no clue what to do, because we’ve been avoiding life’s difficulties.

Andy B 2 Minute Video, Prayin' and Textin' - it ain't all good... S4, E30

youtu.be/YkT5UzbBt2U

Andy B is a champion multi-tasker. When you look after children, or the home, it’s just something you become quite good at!

You also get very good at it, when operating a lorry mounted crane with 7 controls – and you’re using 5 of them at the same time – and while offloading an abnormally large item, with pedestrians who seem to be rushing to their own end, and ignoring any number of safety warnings, barriers and people you’ve put in place to keep them away from what you’re doing! That one might just have been more specifically a regular situation Andy B encountered as a truck driver – it may not something you’re likely to encounter when you’re popping to the shops!
