@tanjaostman theres a line in a film spoken by Wil Smith, in I-Robot.
He'd been stating how the robots were not a good thing, and then the whole world realises as the robots take over.
As he dashes into a building to save someone who heavily criticised him for being paranoid, he utters the following words:
"Somehow, I told you so, just doesn't quite cut it".
Seems rather apt right now doesn't it
The only clarity I have is that the leaders of nations who were the most scared about their eternal destination, were the most controlling of their peoplez and the most insistent on vaccines to fix everything...even though we all, already, knew that they could - at the very best - do nothing more than perhaps reduce the symptoms in some people if they had a bout of covid
So sad when logic is thrown away as it was
For a world obsessed with reason and rationality, it soon disappeared when it didn't agree with their world view

@tanjaostman we may well not be the norm for the UK. Some people can be almost rude about you arriving at their house, and the need to remove your sirs before you're allowed to come in
Cold feet is the one thing I've always been susceptible to, and I don't like others getting cold feet.- under floor heating is certainly no common in the UK
@Cherishingsparrows2020 makes some great points
Personal I'd prefer slippers over shoes in the houses, but they're so expensive.
Hardwood floors downstairs and carpets upstajrs is my preference (not that we get any say with renting houses)

Please consider praying for my wife Sharon (76) has upr jaw cancer surgery January 3. , then left cancerous kidney removed January 18. We are blessed with wonderful medical help and detection of cancer not known, then short time to removal surgery! God is blessing .. however your prayers are coveted.. it will be traumatic and the surgeons do there part but God is the healer! We both trust our savior Jesus & ask a His loving care!

"Coming in Hard"
Rooftops appear to be the claimed territory of all creatures of the air. By the way they behave, I have oftentimes wondered if some birds think they own the place.
Still, it allows us photographers to get photos like this.
Seeing the crows flying back and forth, an idea for a particular picture formed in my mind. After one or two unsuccessful attempts, I caught this highflying crow coming in fast.
Mastering the framing and timing was tricky. But you can thank my extraordinary photographic acumen for the pleasure of viewing this image. 😏

Back from my first cycle for a while
I had to wait for a replacement inner tube, then we had bad ice, then I had a cold, then it was a Christmas
But I wasn't half as bad as I thought I might have been, which is encouraging!
