Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
James 1:2‭-‬3 CSB
Luv that!

@Lindseyay loving DingDash and have encountered some truly lovely people here; questions are answered civilly....it's almost surreal lol

Our lemon chicken is cooking (cooked by our 3 lovely children); we have running cold & hot water and food in the cupboards. We each have a spare pair of shoes and trousers which makes me so feel so very fortunate!

And I'm remembering to be grateful for all we have and fight for the joy that the devil desires to steal!!

If you want something extra for your Sunday, our 5th Episode of Something 4 Sunday is now available - youtu.be/wDXxpPpfSks (or our Facebook page)

For God's family, no matter your age 😃
This week we get very excited about the Bible 🙂 and how it is very much a living word.

Worship, memory verse, child friendly teaching, family prayer ideas and much more

It's geared towards younger viewers, but most of those getting involved at present are a little older ;-)

@Matthias I don't have the knowledge around your first question although I'm sure @sinbach will have good knowledge or advice on this

But for your second, my mind jumps to James 1...and earnestly pray for God's wisdom :-)

Andy B

@4given ok that makes some sense

No difference in the UK as I see it

Andy B

@Matthias thanks

I'm wondering how much if a UK v US culture thing this is...

But wider, I've seen some churches get creative to continue to reach the lost while many more have sat back and are seemingly waiting to get back to normal...so sad :-(

To sue to get what you want just seems alien to me but maybe it means something different in the US

In the UK I'd [innocently] link it with getting lots of money when you've been wronged by somebody else. Nothing more, nothing less

Cheers

What are people's thoughts on Grace Church suing the state?

I'm British, so the idea of suing is not something I'm familiar with

But, while I think it is wrong how churches have been treated, compared to pubs or casinos, I'm not able to reconcile these actions as a Christian

Maybe it's an American culture thing but I don't think so

I do think fighting to get back into a building to sing is missing the point when so many churches have waited more than they've innovated

Thoughts???

Andy B

@Olamide thanks. Don't often have thoughts like this, so thought I'd share 🙂

Glad you like it.

A little thought I had while cooking some pasta...if you're feeling like God is restricting you from where you're trying to go, perhaps God is actually helping you to get where He wants you to go a little more easily, and with much less effort, so we can walk in His strength, rather than our own.

Also, if you out a lid on and turn down the heat, you'll cook your pasta far more efficiently.

@Rinati I know the feeling. It's making more sense each and every day 🙂

Writing my latest story for Little Blessings Online. I'm rewriting the Good Samaritan.....and chuckling as I type, so it can't be too bad. Boys are laughing too

This one features scary broccoli, a trainee vicar, custom made plasters, a pizza making genius and a travelling, book writing Nutritionist called Norbert.

I'll post the video for this one on Monday, when we've broadcast Epsiode 7 of our online baby and toddler group (or you could watch it to see how things turn out........ )

No Words. 😭 Pakistan Court rules that this 14 year old Christian girl who was kidnapped, raped, and forced to Convert to Islam cannot be re-united with her grieving parents, but must remain in the custody of the Muslim man that kidnapped her - because now they are 'legally' married and she is a Muslim.
