@Pablito none of the above
Plenty of blood was taken and tested and I came out as really healthy... Except for the mild infection
@MaryMamuzich @tanjaostman I hope it will
So dehydrated right now! I'd kept my fluids great until half a day in a hospital! On my second point of fluids since coming home 30 minutes ago
@tanjaostman I've got another 5 days of antibiotics which they hope should help clear up that infection
@tanjaostman A & E = Accident & Emergency. It's the trauma care unit of the NHS. A place you'd go in an ambulance (or walk in, as I did today) Lots of doctors aand nurses, and plenty of equipment.
I wasn't quite in the most serious part, .but I wasn't in the main A&E ward either...
When I arrived there was one other person waiting to be seen. When I left my bed was already being cleaned and made ready....Praise God we arrived in a quiet moment!
I had a chest x-ray, which showed some cloudy streaks - which matched up to the blood they took and tested - indicating a mild infection. One of infection markers was ever so slightly elevated (I don't really know that means)
I had frequent oxygen monitoring (all good) an ECG (I think - what ever is called it was the machine with lots of wires and cables that tracked the electrical signals from my heart
Lots of observation too
Lovely doctor
@Berrybunchfamily What did they do with you, except from giving you antibiotics? What does A and E mean (I don't understand every English word and abbreviation).
Jo's taking me to A and E.
I stifled a yawn, and now my heart is doing a weird but gentle beating thing...hoped it'd settle down but it hasnt.
This sucks!
@KarlGessler I've checked through my symptoms and they don't fit that at this time, to the best of my understanding....gonna keep hoping and monitoring it
@KarlGessler ok
We're starting to see something of an end...very weak still, but the boys are mostly better, or at least dramatically improving
Jo and I still have a cough, although mine is worse than Jo's. Managed to have it absent all day until I ate a piece of chicken and managed to breathe a little bit of it...took me 2 hours to come back to a regular breathing pattern again after that... so frustrating as I'd worked really hard all day on that!
@MaryMamuzich @TakeN he's making up for the lost meals, which I find super encouraging
@Cherishingsparrows2020 to weak to do anything...walking to the kitchen for a drink takes it out of me
@Cherishingsparrows2020 no problem with resting... Don't want to do anything else!
Covid update
Thankyou to those who have been praying and/or sending messages supporting us since last weekend! I will try to find a way of explaining just how important those messages have been, when Im able to
My wife of 25 years - today - made me take a self test, which showed I am testing negative for active virus. Which is good. Because any damage is already done, and it can't make me any worse.
We're aware this is good news, but not the end of this story. We still have a cough, feel generally very rough, and weak.
And Complications can still happen. But a negative test is certainly an encouraging step towards health
But thanks for your prayers thus far. They're still needed.
Andy, Jo, Steven, Nathan and Peter - The BerryBunch
@tanjaostman beautiful words and tune. We enjoy Kim walker Smith a lot. Thanks for sharing
@tanjaostman thanks Tanja
@faith20 Thankyou
I'm certainly feeling some Prayer. When I feel that on my Spirit, my breathing settles and my coughing subsides
@faith20 Thankyou
To be truthful, I'm struggling a bit with worry - worried I'll wake up suddenly unable to breathe.
I'm still able to breathe deeply, without much struggle, and no pain.... trying to stay peaceful, but that peace is lost a bit with the next cough.
Gonna register with our local doctor in the morning. In the UK you're supposed to register. We're both not vaccinated, so we will see what happens tomorrow. I have a bad feeling I might need some medical help soon, if this doesn't pass a little more quickly - my one prayer has been for God to prevent complications
I've been up out of bed nearly all day. So I SHOULD just be happy I've improved quite a bit....and then there's another cough
@Pablito Thankyou!
Peter - very tired, but slowly recovering
Nathan - sore gums are less sore, he is eating a little once again
Steven - run down with a mild cough; tired
Jo - has a cough but seems to be recovering, albeit very slowly. She is quite weak and tired
Andy - cough is intermittent, but I've been up almost all day - first time in well over a week. Temperature fluctuations seem to have subsided now, which is something
Tomorrow is our 25th anniversary...so not what we planned for.
We must be on the up, but each time we feel a bit better, another symptom comes and kicks you back down
The cycle of symptoms is very frustrating
Thank you for your prayers. They're very gratefully received
