About 18 months ago we started a little shop that sold women's accessories to women living in war torn areas of Iraq. No one really expected it to do much business, but women are simply amazing. Even during war, they still have an innate desire to be pretty and prepare for weddings, events, etc. Perhaps it brings a bit of normalcy to a horrible situation? IDK....
SALES SKYROCKETED. Little did we know that our small shop would grow SO much SO fast.
When we started, our shop was so small that we didn't even give it a name, but that little nameless shop has grown over 2,000% and is branching out and franchising into different nations - ALL with female management from war torn areas - and I am proud to announce that we NOW have a name...and it is the best name EVER:
MINNA - simply the prettiest name I know.

Please pray for my son Brandon for healing!!!!

He needed to get a nose blockage opening surgery and tonsils out as he had a problem that was making him quite sick and there were no other options. 😭 The pain is unreal- having both done at the same time.

He has been experiencing a VERY DIFFICULT time. I feel so badly for him. He is trying to be as cheerful as he can while bleeding from his nose and phlegm from the mouth and the pain of both surgeries. He also has fever.

Someone asked if there is anything that they can do to help and yes...there will be extra costs involved for him, and as you know because of a severe lockdown here in China, he has been unable to work. So, if you feel led to help it would take a weight if worry off his mind ❤️ As a family man with two little babies and wife.

Missionaries in Myanmar: Part 2
All missionaries are suffering the misery of this greatly. My faithful missionary friend has a wife who is about to give birth, and there is no hospital opened. He said to me they would deliver the baby themselves in their small house by trusting God.
I have two small little girls, one is two years, and another is six months; I don’t care if I don’t have food to eat, but I think much for them and their safety. May you continue to uphold us in your prayer for our safety, provision, and protection.Soldiers are catching people from every house, and now they are near to us. Please pray for us.”

Missionaries in Myanmar: PART 1
“Dear loving Brethren,
I am writing this Report with a broken and trembling heart. My eye is filled with sadness and tears of hurt. First of all I want to beg you to pray for our safety and protection.
The military has taken control and is killing civilians. Everyday we needed to collect dead bodies on the road with tears and pains.Banks are being shut down, and it isn’t easy to get online.
Everywhere is filled with smoke and fire as factories are burned and destroyed.Thousands of people don’t have work, food, and a place to stay now.Almost all of our church members ran back to their village. There is neither market nor a shop where we can buy food because every road is blocked. How long will we last if it continues like this!?
Just a while ago, the soldiers’ truck came and stopped near our house. We were terrified; they captured six people who were having tea in the shop. God is my only Hope.

GoDeeper with Andy B, who talks about keeping a good balance between spiritual exercise and physical exercise.

Steven & Nathan give us 3 challenges for the week ahead in :

Read:
1. Steven gives us the Scriptures to read; 1 John 1 and 1 Timothy 4

Reflect:
2. Nathan challenges us to spend time with God to look at where we’re doing too much physical exercise and not enough spiritual exercise.

Remember:
3. Steven encourages us to remember to prioritise training for Godliness when we plan our day.

Respond:
Nathan suggests we take a moment next time we’re exercising to pause and thank God we are able to.

Do you ever have those days when you've been up for hours, had breakfast, chatted with the children, sorted the kitchen and cleaned up, updates two computers, made your wife two coffees, cleaned the George foreman so it looks brand new, emptied the washing machine, loaded the tumble dryer and been really busy and productive - but realise you haven't actually had a shower and are still in your dressing gown?

No? Just me?

Guys I can't give any details and I will not be posting this information on any other forum, but this week is really important to us at BTJ. we have Chinese pastors that have traveled to be together for the first time since the pandemic started last year. It is amazing to be with them and in prayer with them, but we need to plan the best way to support the church in China for this year. We do not want our own ideas, agendas, and thoughts to pollute what God has for us. Please pray for the leading and the guiding of the Holy Spirit during this time.

Do you feel rejected by the world? Remember what God did with the rejected stone Whom we call the Lord Jesus:

"'The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes'?” Matthew 21:42 NIV

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.”
