Ever made a mistake you regret immediately? The kind you can't undo? The kind that effects somebody else, but not you?
That was me last night....I accidentally deleted some of @TakeN 's files from the computer. Images he's spent loads of time enhancing...
I didn't intend to. It's not the sort of mistake I'd ever usually make...the cloud software we use missed a few files for a few days, and so I was resetting it.
Sometimes we can't undo our mistakes, no matter how hard we try...
I asked Nathie if we were okay this morning, since my mistake last night - he simply said he knows I didn't mean to do it, so we're okay...
Peter, our youngest, had said the same. Steven said something very similar, and so did Jo.
And yet I doubted whether he'd be able to forgive me, or not. Which is a poor reflection of me, not him!
But that's the kind of forgiveness Jesus offers us all when we say sorry. No drama...just forgiveness and love.
I'm feeling loved, and humbled, this morning....
@DevotionalTreasures Yep. Good point
@DevotionalTreasures and that reminds me ..last time we came back from Scotland, we were arguing with shops about why Scottish notes are legal tender in England too 😜 😂
@DevotionalTreasures It was too good not to say and to encourage bothers to read
I'm still getting my hear around re blogging on wordpress....the little 'reblog' button is easy, but doesn't work for me...have found a better way for next time, now, though :-)
My wife and I are in CHRIST JESUS and HE's been our guide for many years through many dark times. Most of which are our own doing. Our adult daughter has cancer and is terminal. She loves THE LORD YSHUA and knows where she is going when HE calls her home. Our youngest son is severely mentally ill and is hospitalized at the writing of this message. All we are asking is for GOD's mercy and grace to be poured out upon our two children fighting for their lives. Please pray for Christina and Christopher.
@MaryMamuzich @Kruselady Brilliant
@TakeN Get in 🙂
@Toolman I love the Chronicles of Narnia, and so do my children. I still read them...they're so well written and i love the stories
Lord of the Rings is another series we enjoy as a family, plus The Hobbit
I found out recently that CS Lewis who wrote Narnia, and JRRR Tolkien who wrote the Lord of the Rings, were both rivals and friends
@Kruselady Google The magic roundabout (a series of road junctions in the UK, not the TV show)
@Kruselady funny story
I acted as navigator to some US Christian sports people. One of them said he knew how to drive a stick shift, so became the designated driver for the minibus. I was just the navigator
I soon forgot he'd never driven on the left before, until we came to a roundabout
In fairness, it was a roundabout with a huge building in the middle
He didn't slow down on approach, and carried on
He noticed I'd gone silent and pale....I eventually recovered to ask him if he'd been taught how to use a roundabout...he said he'd never heard of one, what was it?
So I had to give a quick lesson on why we don't enter busy roundabouts at 50 MPH in the UK
I laugh now...I didn't then
He was lovely about it though :-)
Great bunch of people
@MaryMamuzich I saw that too 🙂
Our forces still use the Puma
@Lindseyay love this 🙂
Andy B 2 minute Video, Roundabouts, Judging and Waiting, S3, E23
Returning home after a mountain bike ride, Andy B approached a roundabout. We love these in the UK (it seems). Simply put, you come to a junction, with a circle in the middle. You give way to the right, and proceed carefully.
But they’re super simple to use! Indicate on your approach, and as long as nothing comes from your right, you have right of way (and of course, the British drive on the correct side of the road – the left – hence giving way to the right!
