This scripture was brought to mind as I awakened this morning. May your heart take courage.
"Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. Forcing parents to sign up to a mandatory register (like sex offenders currently so in the UK) so the government can then force access to your home to inspect you, your family and your children, using non trained, non skilled government staff, with no accountability deliberately built in so you can't complain at anything they do to your or your children - all in order to determine if you're good enough to educate your children at home, using standards that home educating families would never use
The usual excuse for it? Safeguarding
despite there being lots of evidence that it will cause harm to children, not help them
It is a disgusting attack on freedom of speech and democracy
Especially when the vast majority of home ed parents do so because state education failed their child...only to be inspected based on state education standards
It is sickening 😠
10 years ago they tried, and failed...I don't see it failing this time

The home ed register simply reminds of the forced Jewish register by the Nazis: government officials, neither trained nor skilled, having the legal right to enter any private home at will, with no recourse - not even our Police service can do that - and forcing children to school if they feel like it on a whim
Still, your post encouraged me greatly and was perfectly timed for me, because it followed two other posts I've seen elsewhere which got me to DO something

We either get frantic in a rocking chair, and make no progress. Or Jump off and start actually making progress again!
The enemy comes to slow us into inactivity...as believers that worry and anxiety needs to push us in to action, be that prayer or whatever
Wow. Didn't know this about Hungary - so good seeing something so positively, and directly good, for Christians and Christianity and recognising, through action, that Christians are, indeed the most persecuted group of people on this planet!

For me, in the UK, the almost certainly imminent forced home education register is one I can't shake....it's sickening to watch that
I also know that that one isn't my fight, because I have other things God is asking me to do
And yet I've lost many nights sleep recently...
My wife and I are fasting and praying next week about a different issue we're facing, and while I'm hungry at just the thought of it (anybod else have that?!?) it is always a special time as we seek to draw nearer to God
Your post is the reason DingDash is the first thing I do each day...seeking encouragement and new situations to pray for

We got word an hour ago of one of our pastors in Afghanistan, Pastor Siddique, was notified that his house now belongs to the Taliban and 'they know what he is doing.' His family has fled to the country side and others are also being threatened. We ask you to pray. CMM has already received some funds to send to them and other friends' groups working in Afghanistan like FAI and others. These are front line warriors risking their lives to share Jesus' love. As the Lord leads give at www.cmm.world for rapid response fund or covert.
@tanjaostman It's a [not clever] trick from the Taliban that progressives are lapping up...meanwhile women and girls live in fear.......feminism is no more an answer than Islam 😞
