Hardly the most exciting thing....perhaps.....but that was the first food shopping trip together, before the first lockdown last year!!

Ever made a mistake you regret immediately? The kind you can't undo? The kind that effects somebody else, but not you?

That was me last night....I accidentally deleted some of @TakeN 's files from the computer. Images he's spent loads of time enhancing...

I didn't intend to. It's not the sort of mistake I'd ever usually make...the cloud software we use missed a few files for a few days, and so I was resetting it.

Sometimes we can't undo our mistakes, no matter how hard we try...

I asked Nathie if we were okay this morning, since my mistake last night - he simply said he knows I didn't mean to do it, so we're okay...

Peter, our youngest, had said the same. Steven said something very similar, and so did Jo.

And yet I doubted whether he'd be able to forgive me, or not. Which is a poor reflection of me, not him!

But that's the kind of forgiveness Jesus offers us all when we say sorry. No drama...just forgiveness and love.

I'm feeling loved, and humbled, this morning....

My wife and I are in CHRIST JESUS and HE's been our guide for many years through many dark times. Most of which are our own doing. Our adult daughter has cancer and is terminal. She loves THE LORD YSHUA and knows where she is going when HE calls her home. Our youngest son is severely mentally ill and is hospitalized at the writing of this message. All we are asking is for GOD's mercy and grace to be poured out upon our two children fighting for their lives. Please pray for Christina and Christopher.

Isa 41:13-14 ISV 13 “For I am the LORD your God, who takes hold of your right hand, who says to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I’ll help you. 14 Don’t be afraid, you little worm Jacob, and you insects of Israel! I myself will help you,’ declares the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.”

Returning home after a mountain bike ride, Andy B approached a roundabout. We love these in the UK (it seems). Simply put, you come to a junction, with a circle in the middle. You give way to the right, and proceed carefully.

But they’re super simple to use! Indicate on your approach, and as long as nothing comes from your right, you have right of way (and of course, the British drive on the correct side of the road – the left – hence giving way to the right!

2 of these in one day from me today

youtu.be/oBW1tsRp_Kg

Life is full of ups and downs.

Some days we can fly along, and others it’s like were tasked with stirring treacle, with an oversized paddle, on a cold day! But sometimes, flying isn’t helpful. And sometimes that treacle simply needs stirring!

So how do know when we’re walking in our own strength, not God’s? And how do we know when something that seems easy, is actually what God is calling us to do?

How long have we heard about “the last days”? How long have people predicted the end only to grow old and die at 60, 70, 80 years old, like everyone else? Have we ever considered the value of talking about “the end”? If we are living at the time when the world comes to an end, what good does it do to talk about it? Wouldn’t it be better to assume that we are not at “the end,” and do what we can to right the world’s wrongs?

Heat can do funny things to us.

But so can our memories!

How easily can we forget how good we may have been at something, because our failures always shout louder don’t they?.....

Andy B 2 minute Video Vlog, Prayer, Reverence and Confidence, S3, 20

A wonderful friend of Andy B – Olly, from Nigeria – posted a really funny look at how Africans and Nigerians pray, against how the rest of the world prays. You can watch that on YouTube

As funny as it is, it also should make all Christians a little uncomfortable because doesn’t it wonderfully illustrate how we can come to God ourselves?

ok DingDashers....
This is happening. LIVE video feed is coming soon.
We will launch our first video feed with the best interview EVER.

So a good cycle all in all. One mini moment of road rage from a [motor]biker - who should know better....but that's a great Andy B 2 Minute Video on why we should never judge others...perhaps even more so while the person doing the judging is actualy breaking the law at the time...

That little video will be ready for tomorrow evening 🙂

Since it's a whole degree cooler today (and a teeny bit overcast) I'm out for a cycle on the mountain bike.

I'm currently cooling in some shade with plenty of water before the homeward leg...and a shower....and lots more water

Remembering that I used to work 12 hours a day, in hotter conditions than this, with no cool water, and while wearing multiple layers of non breathable clothing, topped off with steel toe cap boots (a great heat sync) and, all, while standing on top of a truck engine revving wearing a solid plastic hat...I figured I could leisurely cycle in these conditions too

Found a lovely, shaded spot in a forest, with some tank traps as chairs. In a pretty blissful place, actually :-)

Onwards

I haven’t gone strawberry picking for years - since my grandfather passed away. Loved seeing the joy on the kids faces as they made the same memories today that I still treasure from 20 years ago!

The surprise on their faces as they discovered the hidden fruit! God spoke so much into my heart at that moment… thoughts to share another day 😉

@Berrybunchfamily Loved the point you made here about reverence. It's interesting - I've been thinking about it a lot lately after hearing so many sermons on YouTube which swing so far in the opposite direction. Heard a message last week where they referred to the Holy Spirit as "fun and silly"... really hit a nerve with me. There HAS to be a balance somewhere. Anyway, appreciated your video (as always)!
