@sinbach @tymektt I don't believe in love at first sight with people....but with a steak? There must be a steakmate for each one of us out there...

@sinbach @tymektt ooooooh..... Steak.......only just woken up, seem this post, and now I want my own steak to find me :-)

@MaryMamuzich lol I don't think I'm that brave

What do you reckon @TakeN ? Can I puinch your cheek, say you're the sweetest cutest thing, and get away with it?

@MaryMamuzich thankyou

Little Steven!. We've got a photo of Nathan from the same day - he was just a few days old. Very cute.

He's sitting two seats away from me right now. I'm not sure he'd appreciate being called cute anymore, especially as he is taller than me πŸ™‚

Today is my estranged dad's cremation service. He died the day after my first hospital visit last month - 12th November. He was 78.

So mixed emotions for me. I won't be attending because I'm still not up to a journey of that kind & as I avoid any stress I can.

He left behind his 3rd wife, 4 sons, 2 step daughters

I'm sad by the pain of a very broken, fragmented family.

He was saved.

I was even contacted by a half brother I hadn't seen for 32 years, and 2 half brothers I've not seen for 14 years

I'm sad he left a legacy, sadly, of broken people and lives. But I also know enough of the 'why' of how he lived and have no bitterness. Just sadness.

He ministered originally in Wolverhampton, setting up youth work projects. And was a passionate speaker and brilliant orator. I definitely learned those skills from him.

I said my real goodbyes 14 years ago. Today I'll say it one last time.

@davereimer I've been looking forward to that since my first pill.....

Anybody know what the latest real story is out of South Africa regarding the Omicron variant?

They had said nobody had been hospitalised, or died

Can't find a single piece of news about what is going on over there now?

With the seemingly OTT response from multiple governments, I'm truly curious how things really are over there....

@tanjaostman it scares me how much i can't help but agree with so much of what he says!!

and that Canada article? really? $750,000 fines? and concentration camps for healthy people. just like australia?

it beggars belief!!

meanwhile, back in the UK, we're less hard done to, although work from home starts up again from MOnday, and more restrictions with covid passports being brought back for large sports events (you know, the ones outdoors with all that fresh air)

seriously?!?!?!

i'd go and lie in a darkened room till this was all over, but i don't think i'd live that long

mini rant, this evening............................apologies

@tanjaostman I don't what to say

I ran out of words to describe what is going many, many months ago

Did you see the quote from the Finnish PM who went out clubbing after known contact with someone with covid. Basically that she forgot to check the rules...nope, I don't believe that either

If things were as bad as they tell us, they'd adhere to the rules and lead by example

They dont and They never have

Which means the rules aren't actually worth following then, surely?!?!?

I've never felt the cold before. I certainly can now!

It's 3-4 degrees outside with a slight breeze

I love the colder weather!

And, of course, when out walking I have to shuffle along to keep my heart rate very low. Which means I can't heat my body up by faster movement!

My t-shirt and a light jacket simply isn't enough anymore.

So I put on my thick fleece jacket (barely worn as it used to make me WAY too hot), a ridiculously good winter coat, fleece gloves & hat.

Home now & I've only ditched the gloves/hat

And @StevenBerry was very patient with my very slow speed. When I apologised, he simply said I was doing what I was supposed to. Good lad.

Our boys amaze me every day, in one way or another.

Roll on Friday so I can see what my BP is doing...and if it is sufficiently low I may be able to discuss at least coming off that...as long as it doesn't drop too much when i come off them.. we'll see. With a blood test at the same time I fear my result may be unfairly skewed!!
