As charcoal is to burning coals, and wood to fire, So is a contentious man to kindle strife.
Proverbs 26:21 NKJV
It is better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, Than in a house shared with a contentious woman.
Proverbs 25:24 NKJV
Contentious people sadly start arguments. Social media reinforces their position, because it is in black and white
Doesn't make them right, though ๐
And we've met far too many over the years...we've learned to follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit, say something, perhaps, but you can only say so much...
@tanjaostman I don't see this as likely at all, to be honest
Especially, not in England.
I hope I'm not wrong, but it doesn't very sound very British. And it sounds even less like something the Conservative government would do, or would allow
A Labour government? Wouldn't see it as so unlikely, but just not the Tory Party who hold the majority in the Parliament at present
Also, people are becoming increasingly hostile to additional vaccines over here - the opposite of the statement of the article
That's in social media though, albeit very strongly from what I read - which j wasn't seeing 6 or 12 months ago
Just my thoughts on the article...

Amen!! Perfect words and completely agree with you!!
Distractions are the devil's favourite trick
Legalistic and self-righteous believers have this unique talent to tear apart all the decent conversations (mostly on Facebook, but even here on Ding Dash) bringing to the table nothing else but condemnation.
So... dear Brother, dear Sister, if you are a target in social media:
Stay strong, do the thing you were called to do, do not get distracted by anonymous people attacking you.
I'll be praying for extra strength and patience for you - just let me know.

@tanjaostman we generally just get either cold or colderrain...... ๐ in the summer we sometimes even get warm rain ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Communist China. Living inside is often difficult. Guards everywhere. Cameras everywhere. People watching your internet. Canโt do this. Canโt say that.
Well something just happened to someone in the family. She posted a scripture on Chinaโs equivalent to Twitter. (She posts bible quotes from this app often) And the GOV somehow STOPPED AND BLOCKED it from progressing further than her own PHONE!
No one else can see it!
And we have seen the exact same post on others posts on that same day. The exact picture. So why hers? Itโs creepy.
When things like this hit close to home, it feels surreal! ๐ฅบ๐ฅบ๐ฅบ๐ฅบ๐ฅบ๐ฅบ๐ฅบ
@sinbach er.........help.....
@tanjaostman it looks like Narnia ๐
@MaryMamuzich it's a great training ground
Peter's ace!!
@tymektt can't beat fresh air at night!!
Our winter currently consists of damp air that sometimes becomes rain
@Cherishingsparrows2020 isn't it just ๐
I do so love our joy bringing little Peter.
Creativity is through the roof.
When we told him we had no money for Christmas this year, so wouldn't be buying presents, he took it with a smilez and the challenge was set
Then he went about and created his own range of Christmas presents for us.
An R2D2 pencil pot (for Steven), a spaceship (mine), Ewok (Jo's) and BB-8 coasters (Nathan's)
He's been stock piling old hot chocolate tins...and put them to good use
Peeling is occurring in the kitchen
So I'm drinking a cup of tea while the rest of my lovely family sort that part, since I can't do that bit
We've got a slow cooked lemon and herb chicken in the slow cooker (I did that), a [heavily reduced] joint of beef being seasoned and put in the oven too (so glad we forgot to take any food out for yesterday evening, cos we loads, and loads, of ace bargains at our local corner shop from their reduced section, which we helped clear a bit ;-) )
@MaryMamuzich thank you Mary. Totally agree
@bethany Merry Christmas to you in the North from the Berrybunch
Merry Christmas my lovely DingDash family
We started with bacon and scrambled egg, and opened the crackers - which Jo made from scratch since we couldn't get any.
She found the jokes online - apologies in advance. They say much of our collective humour I guess...so sorry in advance
Also, some riddles :-)
Have a fab day. Currently midday here in the UK
Andy, Jo, Steven, Nathan and Peter
(The ring photo is because me and the 3 boys saved up from May 2020 to our 25th Anniversary in November 2021 to replace Jo's engagement ring, to buy food, which we had to sell, back along - when we were both without work: I wanted a new photo for my phone home screen)
@katharos my family aren't big fans of black and white ๐คฃ
