@DevotionalTreasures oh this scripture melts my heart...what power there is in this (and the preceding verses)
Somebody once pointed out that eagles have [relatively] small muscles for flapping...which is why they soar. They don't have the capacity and energy to flap for long, so they seek out the warm updrafts.
How often do we flap like crazy, when all we need do is follow His voice, and allow His warmth to lift us up so we can soar.
Yes, this scripture is timely today for me.

So very true!
Sometimes I struggle to read a book or piece of scripture....I keep meaning to, but find it just not doable, as I think it should be.
Then I finally get to it...and discover I hadn't failed to read it...I just needed to wait a while for God to reveal even more depths into my heart and mind that I'd have missed had I read it earlier...when I felt I should have done...
God's timing is, oh, so perfect!!
I've got better, and now bang my head against a brick wall with less frequency...I've learned, a little, to trust God, leave that 'thing', and come back to it later.

Oh for the treasures we can find in His Holy Word, not random though...our Father times our finding. We find the right gem at the right time to encourage us and feed us in life's trials. I for one would be lost if it were not for the Bread of His Word sustaining me each day.
