During the Second World War there were posters with “Do Your Part” These were more commonly used by the US to seek to inspire American women to get involved in the war effort, from the Home Front – working in machine shops, factories, farms and wherever they were needed. They didn’t go to fight, but they did support those doing so.

During COVID we saw similar campaigns with slogans like Do Your Part, Stay Apart – designed to get us to keep a certain distance from each other.

In both situations the slogan was used to seek to inspire people into doing something about the situation they were surrounded by – on the Home Front.

With an 80% rise in gas and electric costs here in the UK, and much of Europe struggling with rising costs that people have no hope of ever meeting, we see terror and fear around us as people face a very dark and grim winter. [READ MORE]

For GoDeeper this week Steven starts us off by pointing out all the maintenance that athletes must do before they can actually exercise, such as warm-ups, cool-downs, and stretching.

He then points out that as Christians we also need some maintenance, so that we function at our best for what God has called us to. Plus, he explains the difference between growth and maintenance.

Steven draws our attention to an interesting verse in James 1 and goes on to give us an analogy for how to maintain our faith using the process of learning to play an instrument.

S02E007, Psalm 7, Family Prayer Time

Peter & JoJo continue to encourage us to pray as a family by reading aloud from the Psalms. This time, Pete and Jo read the whole of Psalm 7.

This is another Psalm from King David and this time he is asking God for justice and to judge those who are causing him problems. David shows his confidence in a God who is wise and perfect in his judgments and declares truths about God’s character, noting God is righteous.

David reminds us of the difference between the wicked and the righteous and makes the point in verse 11 that:

God is an honest judge. He is angry with the wicked every day.

In this week’s Marriage Matters, Andy B and Jo look at how precious a wife is – well a good Wife, no! - an excellent Wife, not just any Wife! Don’t worry, Andy and Jo promised to cover husbands next week!

You may have guessed already that Andy B reads from Proverbs 31 and in particular verse 10 – to find out that an excellent wife is more precious than Rubies, Jewels or Pearls, depending on your bible translation. The long and short is a good Wife is valuable and precious like expensive gems, hence Rubies are a wife’s best friend!

Jo and I are launching a new Radio Show, on Konnect Radio - every Sunday from 4pm to 6pm, from 4th September.

We were approached a while ago and asked if we'd consider putting a new show together - for families.

After some prayer, and rearranging our own ministry schedule, we said yes.

You can hear us, LIVE, next Wednesday, from around 0830 (UK time), talking about the new show.

We've been bursting to say something for a while, but the cat is most definitely out of the bag now.

For my birthday, recently, my family bought me a new keyboard for our ministry computer. It’s an amazing thing because it is ergonomic. While the layout of the keys may be what you’d expect, the layout of the whole of the keyboard certainly is not. And, as someone who has done an awful lot of typing, this is no easy switch!!

I remember doing a computer course on how to use a mouse. They were brand new and I had never before seen such an odd looking thing before. I thought it was a stupid idea. Well, I was fairly young! [READ MORE]

I’m back! I hope you’ve missed these short daily reflections on life. I’ve certainly missed making them!

I took a pause because I’d been doing them, without any proper break, for nearly two years and I wanted to pause long enough to have a rest so I could come back refreshed. But, only to do so if I felt God was wanting me to continue with them, which I believe He does.

So here we are! And, while my short videos may have taken a pause, the rest of the BerryBunch Ministry carried on and we have some AMAZING things happening. Some of which I still can’t yet talk about publicly. They’re super exciting and I can wait to share what is coming up with you in the fullness of time.
