A woman was once asked what she gained from praying. She replied…
“Prayer isn’t about what I gain, it’s about what I lose. In prayer I lose my pride, arrogance, greed, desire for sin, impatience, despair and discouragement. Prayer allows me to lose the things that get in the way of drawing closer to Him”

We can all talk about the failures of “the Church” in the West. But “the Church” is us. We are called to do the works of Jesus. No more pointing the finger at ministries and pastors. Jesus commissioned us, you and me, to do the work. Let’s just do it.

Arranged Marriages in India, Nepal, Bangladesh and South Asia. It is estimated that 80 percent of all marriages in South Asia are arranged by the bride and groom's parents. Many future spouses have never meet each other before they are introduced by their parents. Even so arranged marriages have a very high success rate.

I'm truly grateful....a year ago I was in hospital....2 surgeries...29days in (even had another tumor removed a month later after I had left Hospital...3 surgeries o!!)....wow! I came out a better man.. because "I get better wife and better friends!!"( Portion in inverted commas is Pidgin English...should be spoken with a Nigerian accent..😊)

@bethany This is the first I've heard of watching a particular movie as a way to show your support to the people of Ukraine. @sinbach

@sinbach Well, during the shutdowns and mask mandates, many of us felt as though we weren't treated as adults.

@Berrybunchfamily Amen. It is so moving to see Christians praying for countries not their own. I once saw a video of Christians in India holding flags of various countries and praying for each one. It brought tears to my eyes as I saw someone praying for my country (USA). I know these saints have many trials and needs of their own, but they were praying for us. It was truly moving. There is something powerful in praying for one another. I love when we can pray and then rejoice with one another for answered prayers!

@zephan Thank you for sharing. I'm part-way through listening to these.

Revival or Revolution?

College campuses are not happy places. The unrest and anger will make you shudder. The language of revolution is in the air and on the posters. But all is not well with the revolution. A counter-revolution is also underway. At Kennesaw State University, I believe that I sensed an undercurrent of hunger for truth, hope, and love. The college students crave love and healing much more than they crave chaos and anger. Strangers in the form of professors, politicians, and media try to whip college students into a frenzy and I think they are worn out from chasing the wind. I sense a receptiveness to hope, healing and truth.

@Lanka4Jesus I typed it in and it says the book is currently unavailable. It looks like one I'd enjoy using with my children.
