Andy B was inspired by a post, written by a friend, that reminded us all that sometimes we can be surprised when God does answer our prayers.

Also, while filming Little Blessings Online, Andy was thinking about how Dave the Dog had thought of that talking bush, that Moses encountered.

In our lives, are we hearing the bush, or the voice of God?

Let’s not miss what God is doing or saying, by being surprised He is doing or saying anything. He is, after all, a loving father, who delights in His children.

While this doesn’t mean we’ll simply get everything we want, let’s at least be expectant that God is wanting to bless us and answer our prayers!

Let’s not miss God!!

@HimalayanShepherd awesome!

and so much good to read here

we're talking about some of this in our upcoming episode of Endurance(filmed yesterday); about how our first step needs to be anything other than us working harder to fix the problem - we need to look up to Jesus first, and everything else falls into place as a result; when we're focused on the one who is the reason for our forgiveness, everything gets back into it's proper focus :-)

thanks for sharing

Don't let the crowd be your point of reference. Salutations from my morning walk 😉

@KarlGessler can't agree with your comments enough

i, too, am a worship leader, teacher and preacher...

anointing, to me, seems the key missing from the problem too often

when at school, my career development advisor told me my testing proved i should be come a vicar

i tried to point out that that was a calling not a job...perhaps in some ways she got one thing right.............calling is less important than it should be...

My journey to discover Charles Spurgeon journal entry #4

Charles Spurgeon believed that the best way to learn how to preach is by preaching. I resonate with that greatly! How many more preachers, teachers, worship leaders, evangelists, etc. we would have if we learned to apprentice them instead of sending them off to seminary (or cemetery as my friend calls it!).

I am a preacher, teacher and a worship leader though I have never been to college for an hour. Nevertheless, I was immersed in vibrant Christian faith through my parents and the culture they created in our home. A.W. Tozer, the famous preacher and Author from the mid-west was also self-taught and organically developed.

What matters more than any education is an earnestness of devotion to Jesus and a willingness to obey Him.

How old was Spurgeon when he began preaching? See my next post.

@Olamide the church has so much to learn from the world, because the world is just as much filled with people like we are, as the church is

the problem is, it seems to me, we're learning all the wrong stuff and ignoring the good!

Some days we can soar like eagles. Other days, it feels like the eagle never found a thermal.

But feelings come and go. And good days and bad days come and go to.

But no matter what sort of a day we’re having, there is ALWAYS something to be thankful for.

I finally have an update for those of you praying for my 10 year old daughter. I didn't hear from the hospital on Monday, then the surgeon tried to call yesterday but my phone was malfunctioning. Today I was able to speak with the surgeon. She said that all the tests indicate the tumor is indeed a teratoma and most likely benign, Praise God!! Surgery is scheduled for July 2nd. Your continued prayers are so appreciated. God's grace has been amazing! I want to continue to stand with each of you in prayer as well. When we pray together we can also rejoice together as we see the answers!

I'm praying for the Lord to take it away and your daughter won't have to go through surgery. But praise be to God for not being cancer! Thank you for the update, I've been wondering.

@Cherishingsparrows2020
What wonderful news! We will pray that she (and you) sail through the surgery and recovery.

Andy B shared a post earlier today about working and walking in God’ strength, titled "Busy days and God’s rhythm"

That post started with these words…

“Busy day ahead? Make sure you stop before you start, so you’ll be able to finish!”

…before Andy went to look at how we can expound those words to make for more God like appear!

And how often do we charge into the day, because it is such a busy day, that we forget to ask what God had in mind for us, for that day, for His Kingdom?!?

Dave the Dog is a friendly little chap who helps Jo Jo tell stories.

He likes sticks, sleeping in his dog basket, and getting his hair done.

And he has a dry sense of humour!

Dave the Dog was waiting patiently, but got a bit jumpy when the soundman got too close to him...ahead of filming for the Moses and that oddly Burning Bush

Busy day ahead? Make sure you stop before you start, so you'll be able to finish!

...or...

Busy day [you think you have planned] ahead? Make sure you stop [to pray and bow before the giver of all we'll need] before you start [what He has planned for you] so you'll be able to finish [and be at peace with what you've accomplished walking in God's strength, and working at His pace]

@Hinerodney

I love this perspective that I heard many years ago: 'God allows Himself to work within the constraints of time, for us'

But we, also, need to learn exactly the same thing - and allow ourselves to work within the constraints of His timing.
